Eric Mao Named Assistant Director of Coaching

Fonder FC is proud to announce that Coach Eric Mao has been named Assistant Director of Coaching.

Eric has been an important part of Fonder FC from the beginning, bringing a calm presence, strong soccer knowledge, and a genuine ability to connect with players. He understands that development is about more than results. It is about helping young players build confidence, improve their decision-making, and deepen their love for the game.

As our summer tournament season concludes and our players transition back to their primary clubs, this is an essential time for Fonder FC to evaluate where we are and where we are going. We will take an honest look at what worked, what did not, and what we can do better for our players and families moving forward.

Eric will be an important part of that process.

In his expanded role, he will continue coaching while helping guide the overall development of our players, teams, and coaching approach. He will work alongside Coach Jeremy to review our first summer, strengthen training plans, support player development, improve team organization, and help shape the next chapter of Fonder FC.

This is not simply a new title.

It reflects the trust Eric has earned through the way he consistently shows up for our players, families, and fellow coaches.

As Fonder FC continues to grow, it is important that we build a coaching staff that shares the same values and vision. Eric believes in developing players the right way and creating an environment where they feel supported, challenged, and excited to compete.

We are fortunate to have him step into this leadership role and excited about what he will bring to the future of the club.
