One Day. One Crest. One Champion.
On July 11, 2026, Fonder Futbal Club hosted the inaugural Battle for the Crest, bringing together five Warriors teams for a morning of competition, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories.
Played under relentless North Carolina heat that pushed temperatures close to 100°F, fifteen Warriors battled through a four-game round robin before the top two teams advanced to a winner-take-all championship. Coaches, volunteers, and families endured the same conditions, with sweat-soaked shirts becoming the unofficial dress code by mid-morning.
Despite the heat, the energy never faded.
Parents lined the sidelines cheering for every team. Players from different squads watched matches together, laughed between games, and celebrated one another's successes. It was everything Fonder Futbal Club strives to create—a competitive environment where development, sportsmanship, and community matter just as much as the final score.
Round Robin
Warriors Blade established themselves as the team to beat, finishing the group stage undefeated with a 3-1-0 record while leading the tournament in both goals scored and goal differential.

More Than a Tournament
Battle for the Crest was never intended to be just another day of soccer.
It was created to build something bigger.
Music echoed across the complex. Every team had its own identity and gathering space. Families watched together while players from opposing teams cheered one another on between matches. Competition remained fierce, but the camaraderie off the field reminded everyone why the game is played.
The first Battle for the Crest wasn't remembered because everything went perfectly.
It was remembered because it felt different.
Players competed hard. Parents supported every team. Parents encouraged every child. New friendships formed, old rivalries stayed on the field, and for one morning, fifteen young athletes created memories that will last far longer than the final score.
Thank You
A sincere thank you to every player, parent, volunteer, sponsor, referee, and supporter who helped make the inaugural Battle for the Crest a success.

This event was made possible by a community of people willing to invest their time, energy, and heart into creating a memorable experience for the players.
Looking Ahead
Every tradition has a beginning.
On July 11, 2026, fifteen players became the first to compete for the Crest. Warriors Shield earned the right to be called the inaugural champions, but every player, family, coach, and volunteer helped establish what Battle for the Crest will represent for years to come.
The first chapter has now been written.
