Battle for the Crest Is On: Warriors Prepare for a Day of Competition

The wait is over.


On Saturday, July 11, Fonder Futbal Club will host the inaugural Battle for the Crest, a club-wide 3v3 competition designed to challenge our players, celebrate our culture, and crown one champion.


This isn't just another tournament.


It's a day built around everything Fonder FC stands for—competition, character, accountability, and growth. Every player will step onto the field representing more than a team. They'll be competing for pride, for their teammates, and ultimately for the right to earn the Crest.


What Is Battle for the Crest?

Battle for the Crest is a fast-paced 3v3 event featuring five warrior squads battling through a round-robin schedule before advancing to a championship final.

With no coaches on the field and no substitutes during matches, players will be responsible for solving problems, communicating, and competing on their own. The format rewards creativity, teamwork, leadership, and resilience.


Throughout the day, every goal, save, tackle, and moment of determination will matter.


More Than a Trophy

While a championship trophy will be awarded, Battle for the Crest is about more than winning.


It is an opportunity for players from across the club to compete alongside and against teammates they train with throughout the year. It is a chance to showcase growth, develop confidence, and demonstrate what it means to be a Warrior.


Our club motto has always been:

Play Together. Grow Together. Earn the Crest.

Battle for the Crest brings that motto to life.


Event Details

📅 Date: July 11, 2026

📍 Location: NC Soccer, Durham, NC

⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

⚽ Format: 3v3 Competition (No Coaches, No Subs)

🏆 Championship Final & Awards Ceremony


Families, friends, and supporters are encouraged to attend and cheer on the players throughout the event.


A New Fonder FC Tradition

Every club needs events that define its identity.


Battle for the Crest is intended to become one of those traditions—a day where players compete, memories are made, and Warriors are forged.


One day.

One Crest.

One Champion.
